OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach D.J. Sanchez announced Wednesday that Lexi Burchfield, Aubrey Hacke, Halley Jones, Madison Otte, Kayla Peak and Alexa Sedlak have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Omaha softball program in 2017-18.
“We cannot say enough about this recruiting class,” said Sanchez. “Each of them brings something different to the table. As tremendous as they are on the field, they are even more outstanding as young women. We are ecstatic to welcome them to the Maverick family.”
2B, 5-3, Flower Mound, Texas (Flower Mound)
Burchfield, a 5-3 infielder from Flower Mound, Texas, plays for Coach Mark Lirriba at Flower Mound High School. Burchfield played club softball for Coaches Martin and Kim Poole of the DFW Firecrackers Gold program.
“Lexi is a talented athlete who is a threat offensively with her speed,” said Sanchez. “She loves the game, and it shines through every time she takes the field. Her passion and excitement is something that will make our program better day in and day out.”
